ABOUT MISS GILL

Hello, I'm Anne-Marie, The Tutor behind Miss Gill's English Tutoring & Support. I believe every child deserves to feel confident, capable and proud of their achievements. My aim is to create a calm, encouraging environment where children feel supported, enjoy learning and develop a love of English.

My Experience

With over 6 years' experience supporting children in education, I have worked with pupils of a wide range of abilities and backgrounds. I am currently studying for a BA (Hons) in Education with The Open University and hold a Level 5 TEFL qualification. I specialise in helping primary-aged children develop confidence in reading, phonics, spelling and writing.

My Teaching Style

Every child learns differently, so I tailor every lesson to suit their individual needs, interests and learning style. My sessions are engaging, interactive and designed to build confidence as well as academic skill. I have experience supporting children with ADHD, autism and other additional needs, ensuring lessons are calm, patient and enjoyable.

Why I Started Tutoring

After spending several years supporting children in education, I realised that many children simple needed more time, encouragement and a personalised approach to thrive. I wanted the opportunity to work one-to-one with children, helping them build confidence, celebrate their progress and discover that learning can be enjoyable. Starting Miss Gill's Tutoring & Support has allowed me to do exactly that.
